A little about me...
Dr. Morgan Gese, PT, DPT, OCS

I am local gal, born and raised right here in the Tri-Cities. I have played multiple sports for as long as I can remember and still do to this day. A foot injury led me to understand what physical therapy was and how important it is in helping people get back to doing what they love.

After graduating from Hanford High School, I spent time playing basketball and softball at the community college level, then made my way to earn my bachelors degree from Eastern Washington University while playing basketball for the Eagles. I obtained my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Diego, CA.
Now, I stay active in recreational sports, working out at OTF, and enjoying life with my husband and our two young children, embracing every moment outdoors (when it is warm...), and competing whenever I can.
Over the last decade, I have treated a variety of orthopedic issues in the neck, shoulders, back, hips, knees, ankles, elbows, hands, —you name it. I provide pre-op and post-op treatments and even help people avoid surgery altogether. If you are feeling dizzy, I can help with that too. I pride myself on educating, empowering, and increasing the confidence of every human who walks through the door. Lets work together and be successful at doing hard things!

Manual Therapy
Dry Needling

Dry needling is an effective technique for managing pain, improving range of motion and is a tool for recovery after a hard workout or competition. This intervention requires PTs to obtain a special endorsement in the state of WA. It targets muscle trigger points and improves not only the muscle tissues, but also changes how the brain processes pain.
Myofascial Decompression

Myofascial decompression is a technique that uses suction cups to lift and separate the layers of skin, fascia and muscle tissue. This can help to increase blood flow to the irritated tissues, reduce pain and, and improve range of motion.
Spinal Manipulation & Mobilization

Improved joint mobility, pain relief and improve muscle recruitment through spinal manipulation. Another technique that requires physical therapists to obtain a special endorsement in WA. Spinal mobilization used when manipulation is not preferred or indicated.
IASTM

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a technique that uses specially designed instruments to break down scar tissue, fascial restrictions, and adhesions in soft tissues. This technique can help improve range of motion, reduce pain, and enhance overall function.
Exercise Prescription
I focus on recommending the exercises and movements essential for rehabilitating your injury and eliminating pain, while enhancing your strength, control, and movement. If certain movements or lifts at the gym, studio, or CrossFit box cause pain or feel off, I can help. I’ll provide alternative movements or suggest ways to scale the exercise so you can keep training safely—without resorting to complete rest. My goal is to keep you moving while addressing the root cause of your injury.
